Terms of Service

1. What AiCVBuilder is

AiCVBuilder is an online CV builder. You can write and design CVs, get suggestions from AI, check your CV, match it to job adverts and download it as a PDF or Word file. Some features need an account, and some need a paid plan.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Give true information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
• An account is for one person. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used yours.

3. Plans and payment

• The Free plan costs nothing. Plus and Pro are monthly subscriptions at the prices on our pricing page (currently $12 and $24 a month, in US dollars, plus any taxes that apply).
• You can also buy AI credit packs, one-off payments at the prices on our pricing page.
• Payments are taken by PayPal, by PayPal account or card. We never see or store your card details.
• A subscription renews every month until you cancel it. You can cancel any time under Plan and account, or in PayPal. You keep your plan until the end of the month you've paid for, and then move to the Free plan. Your CVs are kept.
• When you switch between Plus and Pro, PayPal asks you to approve the new price, which applies from your next payment.
• If a payment doesn't go through, your paid features pause until it does.
• We may change prices. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before then.
• Payments are final and aren't refunded, as explained in our Refunds and Cancellation policy. Your plan starts as soon as you pay.

4. AI credits

• Each plan includes a number of AI credits every 30 days. Each AI request uses credits; how many depends on the feature, the AI model and the thinking level you choose, as shown on our pricing page.
• Unused monthly credits don't carry over to the next period. Credits have no cash value.
• Credits you buy in a pack are used once your monthly credits run out. They don't expire while your account is open, they keep working if you change plan, and they aren't refunded.
• Credits for a request that fails are given back automatically.
• We may change the AI models we offer, or how many credits a feature uses, to keep the service working well. We'll show the current costs on the pricing page.

5. AI suggestions

AI can make mistakes. Suggestions are a starting point: you decide what goes on your CV, and you're responsible for checking that everything on it is true and accurate. Our AI is instructed never to invent jobs, dates or numbers, and it leaves [gaps] where it needs a fact from you.

Don't use AiCVBuilder to create false or misleading CVs, or to pretend to be someone else.

6. Your content

Your CVs, photos and the text you write are yours. You give us permission to store, process and show them only so that we can run AiCVBuilder for you, including sending the parts an AI request needs to our AI provider.

Only upload content you have the right to use, such as your own photo.

7. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• break the law, or use AiCVBuilder to harm, harass or deceive anyone;
• upload anything unlawful, or anything with viruses or harmful code;
• try to get around plan limits, AI credit limits or security, or access other people's accounts or data;
• copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer AiCVBuilder, or use automated tools to use it in bulk;
• use the AI features to produce content unrelated to CVs and job applications at scale.

8. Our designs and software

AiCVBuilder, its designs, examples and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the designs to make and send your own CVs. You may not resell them or offer them as templates of your own.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep AiCVBuilder running and your CVs safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If we stop offering a paid feature you rely on, you can cancel your subscription.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account any time under Plan and account; this deletes your CVs and cancels your subscription. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why when we can.

11. Our responsibility to you

AiCVBuilder helps you present yourself well, but we can't promise you'll get an interview or a job. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

12. The law that applies

These terms follow the laws of [Country]. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live, and can bring a claim there.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using AiCVBuilder and delete your account.
